Cancer New Moon and June/July 2007 Highlights
By Silvia Pancaro
Sabian Symbol (Dr. Marc Edmund Jones) for 22 degrees of Cancer:
"A Woman Awaiting A Sailboat."
What feelings, thoughts and insights do you get when you ponder on the
Sabian Symbol for this New Moon's degree?
How might this image & symbol pertain to your current state of mind?
Do you feel hopeful?
Do you feel sort of lost in the waiting?
Do you feel dreamy about what is to come?
Are you full of expectation as you look over the horizon,
stretching your viewpoint to locate the sailboat?
Are you in touch with the Divine Feminine energy
within yourself (both men and women please!)?
Can you feel, feel, feel?
Note your feelings as you meditate on this and journal it to review at the Full Moon on July 29th.
This Cancer New Moon is about being the Mother you
have always wanted for yourself!

The sign of the Crab really asks us to go within and get in touch
with our deepest needs and our most pressing emotions.
If we fail to allow ourselves the function of 'feeling' as it bubbles up within our chests, then we will be unable to function in the 'outer world'
because we will be like lopsided over-emotional wrecks! It is imperative that we develop a healthy way of connecting to our Emotional Body so
that we act from a place of wholeness, as opposed to acting from a place of unhealthy
co-dependence or emotional neediness.
Cancer is the sign most related to 'nurturing' and most connected to the "Mother" Archetype.
So, this New Moon being in Cancer is all about really finding out:
(Hint: If you aren't sure, then check your MOON SIGN for some clues to answer this)

This Lunation is about that little wounded child inside your Soul that is still crying out for attention!
Our Emotional Bodies hold on to every thing that every happened to us, so if there is anything that you, as a CHILD, needed but were not given,
NOW is the time to claim that for yourself! Regardless of whether you lived in the 'ideal' family or a 'dysfunctional' family, some needs may not
have been properly met - no parent or set of parents is ever 'perfect' however loving they may have been, so be non-judgemental as you look
back into your early childhood to consider if there are any unresolved emotional issues that need acknowledging (hence the beginning of
It's in letting go of our emotional baggage that we will be more able to fully express
our Inner Divine Child that is shown by our Sun Sign
(whom we'll play with next month with the Leo New Moon!).
So, let's do some deep soul-archeological digging this month in order to free up our
Happy Cosmic Child!
Time For A Deep Soul Healing!
Consider that this Archetype as a whole (meaning the zodiacal sign of Cancer, the planetary ruler being The Moon, and the 4th House in the
natal chart), reveals a great deal about your 'roots' & familial ancestry, your DNA (both physical and spiritual), your 'past lives,' your Home (past
& present), as well as the contents of your subconscious mind, all neatly tucked away in a very deep place of yourself commonly referred to as
So, if you have your natal chart handy and you know enough about the astrological signs, take a peek at the Zodiacal Sign that sits 'ruling' your
4th house cusp...and note if you have any planets in side that 'house.'
Even if you don't, you can still ask yourself these questions now:
Take a crack at delving into this region and ask yourself what issues you might be holding on to that need healing? Is your (Fourth) House clean
and beautiful? Or is it full of junk, debris, clutter? Is it an opulent palace or an abandoned building? Is it fabulously furnished (mine has sleek,
contemporary Italian sofas!) or poorly designed? You might want to actually walk around your current 'real' house or apartment and make a list
of what is 'out of order' and what feels inspiring in it. Your physical home is a great representation of your "Inner Home" so taking stock of its
condition goes a long way in giving you 'clues.' Making some changes to your immediate environment (like clutter clearing) does miracles for
cleansing your Soul of emotional debris!

I have an Interior Design company that takes your Astrological 'Signature' to create Sacred Space which mirrors your Inner Temple - please feel

Applying this new moon to your Goal Setting:
The Cancer New Moon is the 4th step in the Zodiacal Journey towards the Creation of your Seed Intention back in April - This is the time to
NURTURE your original vision by really listening to your intution and getting in touch with your emotions. The New Moon brings in the WATER
element into your goal-setting, so gently water that original Seed you planted into Universal Consciousness at the Aries New Moon. What might
be holding you back from realizing your full potential? Or what are you holding onto that best serves you to let go? Check where in the process
you may have gotten emotionally stuck by being too attached...trust & let go. Focus your mind on the Cancer area of your Natal Chart/Life. Look
for the 22nd degree of the Crab in your chart and set your Intention!
Regardless, of what your Sun or Moon Sign may be, this particular New Moon being in Cancer, the sign of the emotions, your Mother, nurturing,
food/feeding, breastfeeding, the home, family, security & safety, babies, caring, intimacy, moods, intuition, the breasts & stomach , is perfect for
beginning any of the following activities:
CANCER MOON KEY WORDS:
The above are just a few suggestions. Only you know what's going on in your life right now, so decide how to best utilize this month's New Moon
energies. Below are a few key words that fall under the domain of the Cancer (and The Moon as its planetary ruler) Archetype. Choose one you
might be dealing with in your life, and begin working on that at the New Moon July 14, as part of your goal-setting process. You can apply the
archetypal energy in various ways, ranging from the practical or mundane to the spiritual to psychological.
Choose what works best for you or what you need at this time. Use the phases of the Moon to "time" your individual steps towards manifesting your
goal (see "Why The Moon" link at www.MoonCoach.com for more information on how to use it) or call/email me to set up a personal coaching
appointment with me, Silvia Pancaro.
Have fun and be aware of the 'shadow' side of the Cancer Archetype this month!
